When it comes to the products offered by a brand, quantity and quality both have a role to play. The saying often goes "quality over quality", which is true for a season and as part of the journey of defining your brand or personal style.

Scaling down might be what your business needs in order to reach a larger audience. Businesses in their early stages stick to a vision more than a method. They experiment with their offerings and expand in order to meet the growing and versatile needs of their market.

A time comes when there is enough evidence within the business to know what product or service is their bestseller and which ones bring the most revenue. With this evidence in mind, the logical approach is to begin trimming down its offerings in a manner that removes or minimizes chaos in their customer’s shopping experience. What an audience comes to know a business or brand for will sustain them and the better they become at that, the better their shopping experience will be.

The brand’s goal is to sharpen brand identity and refine who their offering is for thereby not holding on to who they once were that no longer serves their customer’s needs.

Personal Brand or Style

Cultivating a personal brand of style, quality should be sought after, embraced, and displayed. At relevant times, quantity should be paired with the habit of quality. Whether it is getting multiples of the best selling pieces or more of the accessories that make your personal style stand out, there truly is a place for quantity. If you cultivate a habit and culture of being true to expressing your unique style, it will show even in seasons when you are planning and executing for quantity.
